This new innovation in conveyor belt sealing skirts will be produced later this year. The Design for which C. Harper Associates received their thire dti award, the system involves a rubber section revolving around two wheels this forming a seal between the conveyor belt and the louvre plates in the transfer area

In order to obtain a seal, traditional system designs have been fixed, with the sealing material being forced down onto the conveyor belt and clamping onto the louvre plates to prevent spillage in the transfer area. Frequently, when the seal wears, conveyed material becomes lodged between the seal and the conveyor belt, resulting in premature wear of the belt around the sealing area.

The old picture of a conveyor belt with highly visible wear lines, in many cases down to the canvas, is eliminated.

The new sealing system moves with the conveyor belt, eliminating wear points, thus maintaining a more positive seal

With the new system extending the life of the conveyor belt, and reducing costs
